In St Michael the Archangel we have an opportunity to pray for Monica, and in fact anyone else we know needs prayer, in the sure solace that St Michael will hear our prayer on behalf of Monica, as per his promise to Sister Antonia d'Astonac back in the year 1751. This is the story:.

The Chaplet of Saint Michael the Archangel
The history of this Chaplet of Saint Michael the Archangel, goes back to a Portugese Carmelite Nun, Sister Antonia d’Astonac, who, in 1751, had a vision of Saint Michael, who told her to honour him, by nine salutations to the nine Choirs of Angels.
By this devotion, He promised her that: “Whoever would practice this devotion in his honour would have, when approaching Holy Communion, an escort of nine angels chosen from each of the nine Choirs. In addition, for the daily recital of these nine salutations, he also promised his continual assistance and that of all the holy angels during life, and after death, deliverance from Purgatory for themselves and all their relations.”
